THE FOOTBALL

Train like a professional, in a professional environment. We have an expert team of dedicated, experienced and UEFA licensed coaches who will advance students in how to play 'The Beautiful Game' and push their 'Four Corners - Physical, Technical, Social and Psychological' to its limits. 

Assisted by our team of sport injury and nutritional health experts, students will receive strength and conditioning programmes and fitness monitoring and testing to ensure they are always in peak condition and become the best player they can be.

Our state of the art facilities and partnerships with professional football clubs, provide our students with access to the highest quality training and pitches to develop their craft and be ready to showcase their talents in front of professional scouts, coaches and agents.

INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL ACADEMY  

Marcelona International Football Academy provides a unique opportunity for non-UK students to train full-time, in a professional environment and to participate in competitive matches, against professional clubs across the UK and Europe.

The programme is focussed on preparing players and developing the right mindset and skillset needed to play at a professional level with our coaches who have played at the top and therefore know what it takes to get there and maintain!

Our academy has extensive connections to professional clubs in the UK and abroad and continue to provide opportunities for players to play at the top through trials and showcase games.

TRAINING AND MATCHES - Players will train and play 6 days a week with sessions and games filmed for performance and progress analysis. As well as working with UEFA qualified coaches, experienced and committed to getting the best out of each player, students will have access to professional and personalised sports analysis, nutrition, physiotherapy and fitness experts during their programme.

ACCOMODATION - We can provide accommodation via our agency partnerships and students are welcome to seek and arrange their own accommodation.

STUDY - International students wanting to get a qualification can opt to enrol on a short or long term course with us. All education will take place at our training centre and course options currently include; English Language, Sports Coaching, FA Badges and more.

SPORTS ACADEMY FAQ

DO I NEED TO ATTEND A TRIAL FOR THE SPORTS ACADEMY?

Students do not have to play or train as part of their course. However, if you are interested in playing we would like to meet and assess players to understand your ability and needs. 

 HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?

Depending on which course you choose, you can achieve your qualification in 8-76 weeks. 

These are stimulating vocational courses, covering an expansive range of topics. Students will be assessed via a combination of controlled assessments and both internally and externally marked written and practical assessments.

 WHERE WILL I TRAIN?

Our learning facilities at The Jack Carter Centre in Ilford have recently installed 4G football pitches, as well as cricket nets, basketball courts and more for training and matches. There is also a state of the art gym for strength and conditioning and physiotherapy sessions. 

 WHERE WILL I STUDY?

Education will be held in a professional and clean classroom environment, at the same location as your training.

 

  WILL I BE ABLE TO GET TRIALS AT SEMI AND PRO CLUBS?

With our Academy Director being an ex pro with secured links to higher level clubs and also a first team manager at a semi pro club, the chance is most certainly there! We have links to countless high profile clubs and sport organisations, meaning the pathway into the sport industry at a high level is definitely available to our students! Your progression will depend heavily on your own drive, dedication and commitment to the course.

 WHAT QUALIFICATION WILL I LEAVE WITH AND WHAT JOB CAN I GET?

Progression into university and employment will be an option. Also UK and Overseas Scholarships will all be viable options once qualified.

We can also guide you to getting a range of badges and qualifications e.g. FA coaching and refereeing badges and others relevant to your chosen sport.

 WILL I GET AN ACADEMY KIT AND TRACKSUIT?

Students joining the academy will be required to purchase their academy training kit and tracksuit for a one-off fee.
